Fresh Stawberries No Ka Oi

I was always on the hunt for Heath bars when I was a kid. I loved them. The buttery smooth taste was delightful. The only thing that kept me from weighing 900 pounds on them was the fact they were harder to find in the candy sections around town than certain people are in a crisis.

I did love them. So it just seems like a match made in heaven when you take fresh cream, butter, heath bars and strawberries to make a No Ka Oi dish.

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup whipping cream
1/4 cup light corn syup
2 tbsp butter
5 large Heath Bars, frozen
2 pints fresh strawberries

Combine first four ingredients in saucepan. Bring to boil and boil for two minutes. Remove from heat.

Chip heath into small pieces. [put in plastic bag and hit with hammer]

Stir into sugar mix. Cool slightly. For each serving place strawberries into a dessert bowl. Top with warm mixture and garnish with sour cream.

If you have left over topping refrigerate. reheat and thin with cream.
